Ultrasound Technology: 24 months (day) 30 months (evening). Nutley and Ramsey campus. There is limited info on this on their page. This is an Associates program, perhaps a stepping stone into their Bachelor's programs. It does not list what RDMS exams you can sit for once completing this program,

1. What exams can I sit for after completing the "Ultrasound Technology" program and also is this program required to take the other ultrasound programs offered?

General requirements section: Not working (get it together JFK) this is a most asked question!

Duration: 28 month Associate degree program. 

Sonography course are taken at JFK where you will obtain an Associates in science. General education classes are taken at Union County College in locations such as: Carnford, Elizabeth, Plainfield, Union and other affiliated sites. 

You can sit for: RDMS exam (no specification as to at which point in the program).

Questions I would ask:

1. At which point during my course can I site for my exam?

2. Which exams can I sit for?

3. What is the extern/nternsip length and at which point in the program does it start? How many hours are needed? How are students selected for a site?

4. Cost?

Program: General Sonography (small parts, OB/GYN, MSK, pediatric) with "complimentary vascular" I'm sure this is paid within your loan..nothing is free! but they tried to wrap that with a nice bow an sell it :)  I would ask questions about what this "complimentary vascular' entails. Info is limited on website, this is all I could get.

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:15am-2:45pm. 

Duration: 24 months long.

Outline for Diagnostic Sonography vs Cardiac Sonography:

900/700 cardiac clinical hours day and evening for diagnostic sonography and day for cardiac. 2600 clock hours (lab+classroom)/1740 for echo. 

Sitting for Exam: you can sit for RDMS 60 days before graduation.

You can sit for: AB, OB/GYN, Cardiac.

Course length: Noncardiac course: 29 months for day classes (Monday- Friday 9-2,  36 months for evening classes.

Cardiac program is 19 months day program and 23 months evening program.

Program description: " ​​The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) curriculum provides supportive courses in the liberal arts in addition to core courses and clinical experience in DMS. The 22-month curriculum includes four semesters and three summer sessions. Beginning with the first summer session, students enter clinical rotations. Although most hours are spent in a hospital setting, students also attend lectures on campus. DMS students must complete 1,160 hours of clinical instruction, which are scheduled throughout the program in collaboration with clinical affiliates. Clinical hours occur during all College sessions. To be eligible for enrollment in the program, the student must meet the following criteria:

• Associate in Science degree, or higher, from a U.S. accredited college;
• a minimum of 800 hours of paid or volunteer patient care experience; hours must be documented within an official volunteer program where they report to a licensed/credentialed health care provider; home health care for a single patient is not acceptable. Applicants will need to document their 800 hours either volunteer, student extern/intern hours, or work hours in direct patient care;
• Complete the application process for enrollment in the DMS program;
• Fulfill all requirements set forth by the CRC Allied Health Practicum Guidelines including but not limited to: background clearance, physical examination, CPR Certification, immunization clearance and drug screening;
• Successfully complete with a B or better all pre-requisite courses as outlined below within the last five (5) years:
